Another beautiful day on the water. I love this time of year when the leaves start to change color and when that north wind blows you can really feel that cold chill. Today I started throwing crankbaits on the edge of weed lines with a rapala dt10 and the strike king square bill 2.5 both in perch color. Picked up a few good largemouth but nothing to write home about so I started working the 15-20 foot range with a jerk bait and a drop shot and started picking up some beautiful smallmouth bass and a largemouth here and there. After about 2 hours of rod bending and drag screaming action, a north wind came in at about 8-10 mph. at that point it was too hard to feel them on the drop shot and with the sun high in the sky the jerk bait put about another 10-12 nice fish on the boat. Come enjoy a beautiful foliage day on the water with some nonstop rod bending drag screaming action before all the colors start to fade. You don’t catch fish I don’t get paid. Good luck to all. Keith
